I’m on my soapbox again…

First of all… let me remind y’all to go enter my giveaway for a new blog header by Stitchblade Designs. Go on… I’ll wait…

….

soapboxOk thanks.   Today I am stepping back up on my SOAPBOX to discuss something. I’ve been SUPAH bugged all week because of a few groups I found on Facebook.  But they deserve a lot more than a Tad Award, so I’m just gonna gripe about them. The groups are called “F**k the Police.”  Except it didn’t have the **. :( Ok, seriously?? These groups are all about how police suck and how they should all die, etc… And what made me laugh is that most of the people commented where whining about getting a ticket. Um… Ok?? But the groups alone aren’t what got me. There were links people had posted to youtube to videos of police brutality.  Some of the videos were bad. I admit it: There are some total jacka$$es that are cops and they are on a total power trip. There are others that get caught up in the moment of getting a total BAD GUY off the street and they don’t follow correct procedures. Yes- crap like cops3that happens. BUT IT IS RARE. More often than not you are only seeing one side of the story. But whatev. There was a comment a $&#^@*&^  on one of these videos that had me in tears. I’m sure y’all have noticed, but I LOVE my husband. I do. He is awesome. He’s my hero.   So when I read this comment, I lost it. This loser said, “Hey kids, do something with your life: KILL A COP.  Oh, and make sure it’s one with a family.”  Speech.less. I know the person who wrote that was an absolute idiot, but still. SERIOUSLY!!?!???  Sei told me “Don’t let it get to you.” Um, ok. So… I’ve done what I can. I joined a few groups on FB like “Remove F**k the Police from Facebook” and reported a few of those bad pages, etc… Idk if it’ll do anything, but atleast I feel like I did something. “Don’t let it get to you.” PFFT! Too late.

I am now stepping off my SOAPBOX and opening the floor to you.  What has REALLY been bugging you lately??  Step on up on the soapbox and get it off your chest.

Unfortunately, all it takes is one bad experience for some people. I’ve had a few bad cop experiences myself, but I don’t hold that against other cops just because they’re cops. That would be like having one bad teacher make you hate all teachers. Silliness.

Anyway, I could complain a little bit about work, but I don’t want that to come back and bite me. So I’ll say that I’m bugged by the fact that my weight loss has plateaued. I know it happens, whatever, but I’m doing what I’m supposed to do, and the weight stopped going away! Damn weight.

I’m trying REALLY HARD to not let things bug me–AND SOMETIMES I FAIL MISERABLY. Maybe that’s bugging me.

I think it’s horrible that group is on Facebook.

I completely love your comment section!! What a cool thing to be able to answer individual comments.

As far as the other crap – - You’re right… a tad award is too good for them!

Ever notice that the ones who hate all cops are the ones breaking the law and thinking that they shouldn’t get punished for it.

    Yeah. Me too.

Without cops, crime would be rampant. Cops put their lives on the line to keep us citizens safe, even if they have to deal with ridicule and spite from some of the general public.

And I know cops – my sister was a dispatcher.

As far as griping over tickets…if those people wouldn’t have lead feet on the gas pedals, the cops probably wouldn’t have pulled them over. They always have a reason, #1 being to KEEP US SAFE. If you’re speeding, tailgating, drunk driving, driving without a license, driving with no tail lights, it could hurt you AND other drivers. That facebook group makes me mad too.

    Cops RULE. Haters drool.

Since everyone else is commenting about their comment photos, I have to admit, mine is pretty accurate. I really DO have glasses :D

Anyway, sorry for the cop rant. I can see why it got to you, it gets to me too. As far as things bugging me….haters. I hate when I read on someones blog that there is a rude comment. Why can’t people all get along?

Man I can’t believe facebook allows that to be out there. I am with Sei though do not read that stuff. It is too hard to get out of your head. Now it is in my head. Thank heavens people are just alot of talk these days. Tad tad tad!

I’m totally with you on this one. I’ve never personally known a cop, but sheesh, what a rough job…. I would be so frustrated. It must be hard to see so much bad stuff and have to follow the rules in catching these awful people. The first person I saw hurting a kid would set me off and I’d be fired.. Please tell your hubby thank you for protecting us – there are more thankful people than idiots, we’re just quieter.
