My friend, Not So Average Mama, hosted a giveaway a couple of months ago for coconut oil. Honestly I didn’t know ANYTHING about coconut oil when she hosted the giveaway. Tropical Traditions was cool enough to send me a huge 32 ounce jar of Virgin Coconut Oil to try out! I was stoked when the package arrived. Sei tried it out making his famous homemade taco shells. I loved how they were so much less greasy than they are in vegetable oil.

The Virgin Coconut Oil Book answered ALL my questions about coconut oil. According to this book, virgin coconut oil can do so much!!- speed up metabolism, aid in weightloss, help with dry skin and so much more. It’s the healthier choice for cooking as well, so I have been using it. It’s healthier and it adds something to the taste of the food. SUPER GOOD!!

I have tried coconut oil and like it but what I get is not anything close to the quality of Tropical Traditions. I would love to try it.
So, I decided to go check out more of TT’s stuff… They have a lot you know… I was actually thinking that the Lavender Skin Exfoliator sounds really good… Or maybe in the citrus….

You know I read on someones review of this that you can use VCO as deodorant… But looking at TT’s site it looks like they only use it IN their deodorant… I wonder if they knew that….

You can use pure coconut oil on your skin and your hair. Using it on your hair is great but it does take a couple of sudsings to get enough out so you don’t look greasy.
I’d wondered about that. Thanks!
