Stop growing already!!
Tristan has been going thru a major growth spurt for, oh, about a year and half. When we moved to Texas he was about an inch shorter than me. I’m 5’3″. He is now atleast 5 inches taller than me and weighs the same as Sei. He’s grown out of 2 complete wardrobes and is now wearing Sei’s pant, shorts, shirts, shoes… I’m not sure how long that will last. I used to shop online for him but now it’s impossible because I don’t know what will fit. His newest thing to outgrown is his church shirts. He’s wearing Sei’s dress shirts, but Sei only has a few as it is. Oh- and he’s on the last notch on his belt. I’m hoping it doesn’t get too cold this winter because I’m positive the sleeves of his coat are too short. Idk what to do! I can’t afford to feed AND dress him. We went to McDonalds yesterday and he ate four, yes FOUR (4), McDoubles plus some fries. I am now accepting donations for FEED MY CHILDREN.

Tori! So I feel like a total moron, cause the last time I read a post by you was um, way back in June. So I wondered why you’d never posted again, so I looked for you, and low and behold, you have been posting, but uh, my reader was messed up and not updating? OR something. But, I’m glad you are out here, and doing well. Love the new look, by the way, though how new it actually is, I have no idea. So. I’m here now, I’m totally grabbing a button, and I hope all is well with you.

Went through the same thing with my step-son when he hit high school. Now he’s in the Navy. He’s 2 inches taller than his 6’2″ Dad. They both tower over me because I’m just 5’2″. My step-son was really skinny back then too. He’s filled out slightly since he’s been in the Navy and is lifting weights. Hard to keep him filled up back then too. I think he realized it was hitting our grocery budget pretty hard, so he got two fast food jobs and they usually gave him a free meal when he worked his 3 to 5 hour shifts. Hang in there, sounds like you got a good boy if he’s still going to church as a lot of kids rebel at this about their age.
Time to start keeping cows in the back yard.
One of the joys of having boys ; )
It is fun to cook for them though–you feel like a REALLY GOOD COOK because they keep eating and eating and eating.

I feel ya. My food bill was cut in half when Monkey Wrench moved out. Jaguar works most nights so he eats there. Lazy Lion has daily home visits so he eats there. I was ready to ration food out when they were all home.
Sassy went through a growth spurt were she went through the length of her pants two sizes in 3 weeks. Thankfully she stopped that growth spurt.
