Whenever the cold hand of death strikes, there shines through the gloom and the darkness of that hour the triumphant figure of the Lord Jesus Christ, He, the Son of God, who by his matchless and eternal power overcame death. He is the Redeemer of the world. He gave His life for each of us. He took it up again and became the firstfruits of them that slept. He, as King of Kings, stands triumphant above all other kings. He, as the Omnipotent One, stands above all rulers. He is our comfort, our only true comfort, when the dark shroud of earthly night closes about us as the spirit departs the human form.

Towering above all mankind stands Jesus the Christ, the King of glory, the unblemished Messiah, the Lord Emmanuel. In the hour of deepest sorrow we draw hope and peace and certitude from the words of the angel that Easter morning, “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said” (Matt. 28:6). We draw strength from the words of Paul, “As in Adam all die, even so in Christ … all [are] made alive” (1 Cor. 15:22)…

He is our King, our Lord, our Master, the living Christ, who stands on the right hand of His Father. He lives! He lives, resplendent and wonderful, the living Son of the living God. Of this we bear solemn testimony this day of rejoicing, this Easter morning, when we commemorate the miracle of the empty tomb, in the name of Him who rose from the dead, even the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.

I went to an Easter egg hunt with Livie the other day. A friend from church hosted it at her house. Livie was so confused when I told her we were going on an Easter egg hunt because it wasn’t dark. I’ve written about our annual  nite time egg hunts and those are the only egg hunts she’s been on. lol She figured out the egg hunt really quickly and left with almost 20 eggs. Then she and Taj dyed eggs and stuff candy into plastic eggs for our nite time hunt that we’ll do on Monday. We have to move everything around because Sei works Sunday nite and the older kids will be at the ex’s til Sunday nite.  But the eggs are ready to go, yo! Now I just need to round up some flashlites…

While I was at the hunt with Livie there were a group of women talking about divorce. If you were in that group and you’re reading this don’t think for a second that I took offense to the conversation- I didn’t at all. I’m just writing about my observations. The conversation came up because we were talking about Facebook statuses and stuff and how we find out major stuff, like someone is getting divorced, via Facebook. Then they went on to talk about how marriage is like no big deal to some people and people are getting divorced right and left. All that is totally true. But being a divorced woman I also know how easily divorce can come about when only one person is working to make the marriage work. I also know how devastating divorce can be to a family and how you are stuck dealing with crap because of the decision to divorce forever- even if divorce was the right choice. It sucks eggs. I’m kinda down with going back to Biblical laws. Then I would have been a widow instead of a divorcee. :P haha

Monday we’ll be celebrating my dad’s birthday as well as Tristan’s. My dad’s was Friday and Tristan’s is Tuesday.  I can’t believe I’ll have a 15 year old. What a trip. And on Friday Isabel will be 11!!! I am blessed to have really good kids. And I’m excited to celebrate these bdays with them!!! I guess I should get moving on gettin’ a cake for the party Monday. And now that I’m thinking about it… I have nothing planned for Easter dinner. Sei will be sleeping or leaving for work and Taj and Liv are down with corn dogs or ramen noodles, so I guess there’s nothing really to plan. I can’t really say that is a bad thing- I don’t really like to cook. haha :)

Hope y’all have a wonderful Easter weekend.

* What are y’alls plans for Easter weekend? Kelsea and Karlea arrive on Friday, April 10th! YAY!! So far we are planning a trip not too far from here where there’s natural waterfalls, caves, hiking trails, etc… I’m hoping for great weather. We will also do our 2nd annual night time egg hunt. They loved it last year, so I think it will be a new tradition. Isabel’s birthday is April 9 and Tristan’s is the 6th (They’ll be 10 and 14!!CRAZY!) so the daytrip will be their “party” this year.

* Suzanne, my awesome friend, asked:
What is your favorite restaurant?
I don’t have a “favorite” but I really like Chili’s, Joe’s Crabshack and On The Border

What is the last funny thing you’ve put on Sei’s facebook?
I wrote something along the lines of “Speaking of HOT, how are you Babe?” It’s not as fun because he deletes all of them. Party pooper.

When are you coming to Utah to visit me?
Sei and I were planning a trip to Utah during the winter if we have enough money after hiring lawyers… :( If we come, I will let you know our travel plans!!

Millie asked:
What season is your favorite and why?
I love Spring when it’s warm and Summer when it’s HOT. I don’t like cold. I don’t like wind. I don’t like wearing coats. Texas doesn’t really have a “spring” per se. It’s more like a mild summer and then SUMMER. I love it though. I just like the heat!!

My Twin, No Cool Story asked:
When are you doing another dance video?
I am choreographing (ok, that’s an exagerration) a NKOTB dance video using all NKOTB moves and music with the kids. It will be released soon…. Promise. I worry it will not be as cool as the original dance video.

Can I be in the video?
You will have to come to Texas. Are you willing to do that?? ;)

Ok, that’s it for today. I will start with Beckie’s question next time!!!
