30 Days About Me

I’ve posted a few videos of me from Youtube in the last few posts- like the one of my daughter and I signing “I Gotta Feelin’” at our family reunion and my ASL story video.   So, I’m going to post just a couple of videos I really like on Youtube. Some it will be obvious why, while others will just prove I am a spaz– if there was any doubt… ENJOY!

My Daughter Dancing to Tik Tok – A MUST SEE!!!

My husband playing Metallica on the piano…

Our family made up a dance…

And this is my new favorite, pointless clip… I laugh every time… :)

30 Days About Me

There are lots of things that I take for granted that make my life easier than it would be without them, such as microwaves, cell phones, internet… But one thing that makes my life easier on SO many different levels is… My iPod Touch.

This thing helps save my sanity on a daily basis. It not only has the music I love and a connection to my email and Facebook, etc… But it holds these wonderful little things called “apps,” which on mine includes games like “Makeup Girls,” “Line Surfer,” “Angry Birds,” “Sims 3″ and more. They don’t sound like much, but they can help give me the 5, 10, 15 minutes of PEACE I crave. Not because I’m playing them, but because Livie plays them. Y’all, I can be in line at the DMV and Liv will sit quietly on a bench and play games. If you know Liv, you know she doesn’t “do” quiet. She is my loud, high maintenance DIVA. So, yes… I love my Ipod Touch and it definitely makes my life easier… :)

If we were wanting a ticket to Hollywood, Livie would be it. But actually I’d rather have a one-way ticket to Hawaii…. But I digress. Livie is very animated. She also LOVES music. We’ll be jammin’ the car and she’ll say, “What’s this song? Who sings it?” Today we were listening to Marvin Gaye and she asked who it was. I told her and she said, “Are you sure? It sounds like Michael Jackson…” lol Anyway, she loves Ke$ha songs, which probably earns me the Bad Mommy Award- again- but whatever.

She loves to dance and sing and make movies…. So, without further adieu I present “Livie doing Tik Tok“: (If you like the video could you comment and like it on You Tube? Thanks!!)

Today Livie is 4 years old!! I can’t believe it. It’s crazy to me to think that just 4 years ago she was this tiny, sweet little baby. She was *THE BEST* angel-of-a-child until about 18 months old. Then idk what happened. lol  But she is definitely full of spunk and so animated!!! She’s also a smarty. I could tell you all the awesome things she does, but at age 4 it’s not as impressive- except that she was doing it all at age 2. She’s super bright.

I am thankful to be Livie’s mom because even though she drives me insane on a daily basis, I cannot wait to see the person she becomes as an adult. She is so beautiful- her name fits her perfect. We named her Liv Alexandra Manaia. Manaia means “pretty” in Samoan…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIV!!! I love you!!! And I’m sorry Alec got mono and strep so we had to cancel your Princess party this week… :(

livieLivie is fun. She my entertainer. And she LOVES music!! I love when we get in the car and she requests songs from my iPod. The names she has given some songs crack me up. For example… (to fully appreciate some of them you may have to listen to the words via the videos…)

I love my Livie!!

Livie has had an ongoing obsession with boobs for a few months. The other day she ran down stairs, took off her p@nties and tried stuffing them into the top part of her dress. I was totally confused as to what she was doing. Then Isabel explained that they were playing dress up and using underwear from her drawer to make boobs or “boons” as Livie calls them. So naturally Livie wanted boons too! Here’s the end result…

Thank you Newbaby.com for my Vado this was filmed with!

I’m sure there have been things going on I could write about. Like our weekend trip to Turner Falls in Oklahoma or our nite time Easter egg hunt. I am just lame and don’t feel like posting. So…

I was reading Not So Average Mama today and she posted a video of her daughter singing the “Hannah Montana” theme song. It was really cute and it reminded me of a couple of videos I have had on my phone of Livie being… Livie. I’ve posted other genius videos of her doing her ABC’s in sign and whatnot, but this is the entertaining Livie we get 24-7! The 1st video is Livie in October (so she wasn’t 3 yet) singing “Nobody’s Perfect” and “See You Again” by Hannah/Miley Cyrus. If you have a tween girl then you know what those songs are. “1-2-3-4… everybody makes mistakes. Everybody has those days…”
.
The 2nd video is Livie’s version of “Single Ladies” by Beyonce. She’s singing the chorus “If you liked it then you should’ve put a ring on it…”

Livie loves soft things. Her favorites are her white, plush blanket and her little yellow Carebear her Aunt Ali gave her. Every morning when I go to get her out of her crib she’s sitting there snuggling her Carebear. The other day Izzy had Liv’s blanket and Liv threw a fit!!
Livie is a thumbsucker. I’ve never had a thumbsucker before. Right now it’s so sweet. When she’s sleepy she’ll lay on the floor and start sucking her thumb. Too cute!!
Livie walks all over the place now. She started taking steps around 10 months, but didn’t decide to walk all the time until about a week ago. Her big sister did the same thing!!
Livie is so smiley! She’s always happy and so sweet and snuggly. If I sing our special song, she cuddles on my shoulder and “sings” along with me.
Livie… sniff sniff… is our last baby and today… sniff sniff… she is ONE!!! It’s hard to believe it’s been a year already. I can totally remember her birth so vividly. Probably because it was so different from all my others. My water actually broke 1st (during family prayer, of all times!!) and then I waited around thinking I’d get contractions. 3 hours later, no contractions. I went to the hospital and they put me on pitocin at 1pm. I watched “Napoleon Dynamite,” started hurting, got an epidural, went from a 5 to a 10 in 1/2 an hour. I had her at 4:09pm without pushing. 8 pounds 1 ounce. Nice… She’s just the best baby and I feel so blessed to be her mommy.

Happy Birthday Livie!!! I love you!!!
